Tariq Karibian

Tariq Karibian is a Palestinian-Armenian writer from Metro-Detroit. His work (fiction and poetry) has appeared in Phoebe Journal, Waxwing Literary Journal, Oxford Magazine, the Rising Phoenix Review, and Stork Magazine. His debut novel is in development.Beyond his own creative projects, he has also contributed to the NBA writing articles for the Philadelphia 76ers that have received acclaim as “Best of SB Nation NBA.”Tariq holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Villanova University and a MA in Humanities/Creative Writing from the University of Chicago. Currently, he is a MFA Fiction candidate at Emerson College, where he also teaches introductory rhetoric, composition, and research courses.
